Emporia Police are asking for help as they investigate a crash from Thursday morning.
The wreck involved a driver and cyclist around 9:30 am and did not lead to any hospital trips, but Emporia Police is now considering this as a hit-and-run. Police Sgt. Lisa Sage says the cyclist, 53-year-old Ron Harris of Aurora, Neb., was eastbound on 15th near Washington when an eastbound silver hatchback passed him and clipped him with a rear-view mirror. Harris was scratched and bruised.
Witnesses say the vehicle could have been a Nissan Versa and may now have a broken passenger-side rear-view mirror. The driver had a ponytail.
