Wichita State, Kansas and Kansas State have announced portions of the 2018-19 basketball schedules.
Wichita State has announced the mens basketball team will play Providence at the U.S. Naval Academy as part of the 2018 Veterans Classic on Friday, November 9. The Shockers will only 5 players off of last years team that was 25-8 and 14-4 in the American Conference. They have not released the rest of their schedule for the up-coming season.
Kansas last week released their mens basketball non-confernce schedule. They will play Emporia State in an exhibition game on October 25th.
Six of KU’s nonconference foes competed in the 2018 NCAA Tournament – national champion Villanova, Kentucky, Michigan State, Arizona State, Tennessee (possible opponent in the Preseason NIT) and New Mexico State. The game with Villanova will be played in Allen Fieldhouse on December 15th.
Kansas State has also released their non-conference schedule. They will open November 9th against Kennesaw State. They will also host Denver, Lehigh, Georgia State, Southern Mississippi and George Mason. They will also play Vanderbilt in Kansas City. They also play in the Paradise Jam, at Marquette, at Tulsa, and at Texas A&M.
