Highways in Morris County are seeing a lot of work this summer.
The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced the following road repairs:
*Kansas Highway 209 in Morris and Dickinson counties
*US Highway 77 from the Morris-Dickinson county line nearly five miles north to the Morris-Geary county line
*US Highway 77 from the US Highway 56 junction north to the Dickinson-Morris eastern county line.
Pavement Pros LLC of McPherson won the project with a nearly $70,000 bid.
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office says chip-seal work is now underway on US-56 from Council Grove west to Herington. Additional work continues on K-177 north of Council Grove as well.
