After a day off the Kansas City Royals are in Seattle to begin a three-game series with the Mariners.
The Royals will look to find some consistency after splitting their last six games, including a 5-4 win over Milwaukee Wednesday. Adalberto Mondesi led Kansas City with two RBIs and Mike Moustakas picked up his 15th home run of the season in Wednesday’s winning effort.
The Mariners are looking to stay hot coming off a four-game sweep of Baltimore including a 4-2 Thursday.
Ian Kennedy will get the start for the Royals in game one. Kennedy is 1-7 with a 5.09 ERA and 80 strikeouts this season.
