Rescue crews took one person to Newman Regional Health for treatment after a crash Thursday afternoon.
The wreck happened shortly before 3:10 pm on Interstate 35 near the Merchant Street exit. Emporia Fire says the driver, a woman, may have suffered some sort of medical issue before the crash.
The driver’s name has not been released and official details are pending.
