Emporia Police say two people were hurt following a crash on West 6th Ave. Wednesday afternoon.
Shortly after 2 p.m., emergency personnel members were dispatched to Sonic at 1101 West 6th Ave. for a two-vehicle crash. Sgt. Tim Wacker tells KVOE News a passenger car driven by 18-year-old Amanda McDonald of Climax struck a passenger car driven by 29-year-old Alexander Meisch of Wichita, as both vehicles were attempting to turn into the parking lot.
Wacker says McDonald was cited for following too close.
McDonald was transported by ambulance and Meisch went by personal vehicle to Newman Regional Health. The hospital does not release patient conditions to the media.
