Emporia Police spent some time early Sunday investigating a pair of shots fired calls.
The calls came in to Lyon County Dispatch after midnight, and they happened in the same general area of town within minutes of each other as reports came in from the 1000 block of Sylvan and the 800 block of Cottonwood.
Early investigations overnight yielded no evidence of gunshot activity. There are currently no indications of any connection between the two reports other than the timing.
Separately, Emporia Police say no arrests were made early Sunday after an incident in central Emporia. Shortly before 3 a.m. officers responded to a reported stabbing at an apartment at 229 West 13th Ave. However, upon further investigation, police tell KVOE News the incident involved nothing that was criminal in nature. The incident was a misrepresentation on the report as it came in.
No injuries were reported.
