A special press conference was held this afternoon to formally introduce new Hornets Baseball Coach Seth Wheeler.
Wheeler has spent the past three seasons as the Hornets pitching coach and has also worked with catchers during his time at ESU.
He says he’s honored to be the head of such a proud and historic program.
Wheeler began his coaching career with the Junction City Brigade, a collegiate wood bat team that competes in the Mid-Plains League, the summer after graduating from Central Missouri.
Wheeler says in his years as both a coach and player he has been able to learn from some of the best in the game.
Wheeler is replacing former head coach Bob Fornelli who announced earlier this month that he would step down to accept the head coaching position at Pittsburgh State.
