The Emporia Energy 18 and Gilpin 14 year old girls softball teams are playing in tournaments this weekend.
The Emporia Energy 18 year old team is playing in the Fathers Day NIT tournament in Lawrence. The 18s were out scored by 5 Tool Rumble 9-2 in their first game of the tournament. They defeated Category 5 8-5 in their second game. They are scheduled to play the Topeka Stingers today.
The Energy 14 year old Gilpin team is playing in the Xtreme Showdown in Wichita. They defeated the Wellington Rebels 7-6 and the Kansas Bombers 14-5 in their first two games.
