Two people were treated at the scene of a crash near downtown Emporia on Thursday.
The wreck at Ninth and State was reported around 12:15 pm. Police Sgt. DJ Dragonas says two cars were involved, one heading southbound on State and the other westbound on Ninth. One of the drivers apparently failed to yield and the two collided in the intersection.
Names have not been released. Ninth was shut down between State and Neosho for about 45 minutes after the crash.
While officers investigated the crash, at least one southbound car also failed to yield at the intersection but there was no wreck afterward.
