A pair of road improvement projects continue on the Kansas Turnpike southwest of Emporia.
A short-term project is taking place just north of the Matfield Green service area at mile marker 97. Crews will seal cracks in the pavement through early afternoon. This will affect the southbound inside lane.
Meanwhile, work continues on re-paving the Turnpike just southwest of the Matfield Green service area. This phase affects the northbound inside lane. Work will continue through June 20.
