An Americus man has been convicted of attempted aggravated burglary stemming from an incident at Northern Heights earlier this year.
Jace Sull, 18, entered a plea at a hearing Wednesday in Lyon County District Court. As a result, Sull faces 30 months in jail and two years probation.
Sull and a co-defendant, 19-year-old Chase Weaver also of Americus were arrested Feb. 21 after Lyon County deputies connected them to a stolen firearm found in a vehicle at Northern Heights that was traced to a theft in Americus. Authorities have said at least one more firearm was recovered as part of the investigation. Weaver has a pretrial conference scheduled for 2 p.m. June 15.
The pair also has back-to-back hearings after being caught in an alleged auto-burglary in Olpe last month. Those hearings are scheduled for 2 p.m. June 13.
