The Crosswinds Gateway building, located at 315 South Market Street is closed after a pipe on the building’s second-floor burst Tuesday morning.
The issue caused water to flood the building’s first and second floors.
USD 253 Maintenance Director Bob Fancher says it was a feeder line to a toilet. The water ran overnight and flooded the first-floor office building. At least three inches of standing water was also present on the building’s second floor. The building is the former Kansas Avenue School building.
Further details are pending from Crosswinds. The building will remain closed all day with plans to re-open as normal Wednesday.
