Excitement is mounting as the 81st annual Flint Hills Rodeo is set to begin.
The annual competition will begin Thursday at the Strong City Arena located on Highway 50 in Strong City. With 402 competitors scheduled to compete this weekend former rodeo board member Mike Holder says you won’t see entertainment like this anywhere else.
The rodeo will run from Thursday until Saturday. The schedule of events is as follows.
THURSDAY
Kids night, children 12 and under get in free.
Rodeo begins at 8 pm
FRIDAY
Militar appreciation night, all active and retired military personnel get in free with I.D.
Rodeo 8 pm
Cowboy and cowgirls dance 10 pm
SATURDAY
Annual rodeo parade 2 pm
Rodeo 8 pm
Cowboy and cowgirls dance 10 pm
Ticket prices for the rodeo are as follows
Thursday: $11 for adults, children 12 and under free
Friday: $12 for adults, $8 for children
Saturday: $13 for adults, $9 for children
