Alcides Escobars solo home run in the bottom of the 14th allowed the Kansas City Royals to walk off with a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Twins Tuesday night.

It was Escobars second home run of the season.
The Twins scored a run in the 3rd inning. The Royals tied the game in the 8th inning on a bases loaded walk to Jorge Soler.
The Royals used 6 pitchers. Danny Duffy started, He pitched 6 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks. Kevin McCarthy, Brian Flynn, Kelvin Herrera, and Jason Adam each pitched a scoreless inning of relief. Scott Barlow pitched 4 innings without giving up a hit and earned his first major league win.
