Emporians used to having their trash picked up on Mondays will need to make an adjustment this week.
There will be no residential trash service, so-called “west side” recycling service, roll-off or cardboard sanitation pickup Monday. Residents with automated trash service and the west side recycling service will have those pickups on Wednesday instead.
Commercial refuse will be picked up as normal.
The Transfer Station and Recycling Center in the 3100 block of West South Avenue are both closed on Memorial Day.
