Ag producers, take note: the next few weeks are important for federal surveys. The National Agricultural Statistics Service is now into its annual data collection period.
The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture will send enumerators to collect data through June and, in some cases, into July. They will have ID cards and ag producers are encouraged to cooperate if contacted. All survey data is kept confidential. Survey results will be used to give indications for crop plantings and livestock inventories.
