After a great start to Tip A Cop-Tip A Deputy, the Olpe Chicken House is looking to finish strong.
Bobby D’s held the first of two Tip A Cop events last week, and Lyon County Undersheriff John Koelsch says tipping is already making a big difference for Special Olympians.
Koelsch says the event helps the athlete see firsthand the community support surrounding them.
Tip A Cop will start at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run comes to Emporia on May 30 and goes from Emporia to El Dorado on May 31. The annual state games start June 1. For more information, go online to www.ksso.org.
