Updates to a district-needs assessment will be heard at Wednesday’s Emporia School Board meeting.
In April, the board approved HTK Architects of Topeka to do the assessment and part of their action Wednesday will be to finalize the company’s contract. Each of the 11 district buildings will be assessed as the district moves forward with a possible capital improvement project to upgrade facilities, including improved security.
The board will discuss the fee schedule and meal prices for the 2018-19 school year, consider approval of republished funds in the 2017-18 budget and will see a first reading of the 2018-19 student handbooks.
One executive session is planned for negotiations. Wednesday’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the board’s meeting room at the Mary Herbert Education Center.
