Robert Robison III will now wait several weeks to learn his sentence for an incident at the Lyon County Jail over four months ago.
Following a plea agreement in March for a single count of battery on a law enforcement officer, Robison was originally set for sentencing Tuesday afternoon. However, the hearing was continued until July 3.
Robison was formally charged with two counts of battery against a law enforcement officer after allegedly scratching two detention officers and biting a third. The second count was dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
Robison still faces charges in Greenwood County for the alleged incident that led to his transfer to Emporia and the alleged fight with detention officers. He allegedly led a high-speed car chase with a young child in his car. After being stopped, he allegedly fought with deputies. Robison is tentaitvely set for a May 17 hearing on several charges, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officers, aggravated child endangerment, flee and elude and other counts.

Sentencing is set for Tuesday for a Missouri man accused of being combative with local law enforcement late last year.
Robert J Robison III pleaded no contest to a count of battery on a law enforcement officer as part of a plea agreement reached with Lyon County prosecutors in March. A second count of battery was dismissed. Sentencing is set for 4 pm in Lyon County District Court.
Robison allegedly scratched two Lyon County detention officers and bit a third after being brought to Emporia following his arrest in Greenwood County. During his arrest, which allegedly followed a car chase, Robison allegedly fought deputies and acted like his hands were guns. Robison also allegedly had a young child in his car at the time of his arrest.
Robison has an arraignment hearing May 17 in Greenwood County District Court. He is still facing charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, aggravated child endangerment, felony flee and elude as well as other counts.
