The Emporia State baseball team has secured a spot in the MIAA tournament after out scoring Lindenwood 7-2 Friday night.
The Hornets scored 5 runs in the 2nd inning. Bryce Fischer hit a 3 run homerun in the inning. Tate Kastens hit a 2 run homerun in the 8th for Emporia State. Seth Holman earned his 6th win going 7 innings, giving up 1 run on 3 hits with 7 strikeouts. Trey Taylor earned his 2nd save. Emporia State and Lindenwood play again Saturday afternoon.
