The Emporia High softball team swept a doubleheader from Topeka Hayden Tuesday.
They won the first game 4-0 in 8 innings. Kristeena Thompson hit a 3 run homerun in the 8th inning. Andie Wilson tossed the 3 hit shutout.
The Lady Spartans won the second game 9-5. They are now 8-7. They will also be hosting the Emporia Classic Friday and Saturday. The Lady Spartans will play Garden City Friday night and Andover Central Saturday.
Dodge City, Kapaun, Blue Valley Southwest will also be playing in the Classic.
