Two inmates at the Lyon County Jail face additional charges once they are captured after they allegedly decided not to return from a recent work release assignment.
Jerry Lynn Batts and B. Jay Snyder did not return from their assignment April 25. Snyder is a white male, 5-foot-10 and 130 pounds, with light brown hair and a pointy beard. Batts is a black male, 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds.
Lyon County Work Release Coordinator Jason Crumb says both men were in jail for failure to appear for a court appearance. Specific details are pending.
Undersheriff John Koelsch says the men will automatically face escape charges in addition to the failure to appear counts once caught.
