Probation is coming for one of two people who have pleaded no contest as part of the Flinthills Mall burglary case last fall.
Jeffrey Muoio was sentenced Friday to 18 months probation in Lyon County District Court. Any violations could send Muoio to prison for 34 months as part of the sentencing announcement.
Muoio pleaded no contest to two counts of burglary of a non-dwelling at a hearing last month. Charges of conspiracy to commit burglary, theft and criminal damage were dropped during the hearing.
Co-defendant Julian Castillo will learn his fate May 11. He pleaded no contest to felony meth possession and misdemeanor stolen property possession last month.
Meanwhile, co-defendant Cheryl Dains faces charges including burglary, criminal theft, criminal damage, conspiracy to commit burglary and meth possession.
A fourth defendant in the case, Nichole Rice, has a motions hearing Wednesday on flee and elude, possession of a firearm by a felon and other charges.
Defendants in the case were charged after a break-in at the mall Nov. 4. Authorities say the Buckle and Hibbett Sports suffered more than $20,000 in losses as a result of the crime.
