Folks across the community are encouraged to get their sensitive documents properly disposed of Saturday.
ESB Financial is holding its annual Shred and Recycle E-Waste Day downtown. On KVOE’s Managing Your Money segment this week, Vice President Karen Sommers said the bank views this event as a service to the community.
The event is free and uses a drive-through approach, so residents can drop off their items without getting out of their vehicles.
Sommers says paper products are shredded on site. Those are later turned into pulp to be mixed with fresh pulp and, eventually, made into new paper products.
The event is designed for residents as opposed to businesses. It runs from 9 am to noon at the bank’s downtown branch, 801 Merchant. Sommers says you need to enter the south parking lot on Constitution.
