The Emporia High girls swim team finished in 3rd place out of 10 teams in the Emporia Invitational, the final home meet of the season, Thursday. McPherson finished in 1st place and Derby finished in 2nd place in the team standings.
Once again the Emporia High divers dominated. Haylee Weiss finished in 1st place and set a school 6 dive record. Whitney Sparks finished in 2nd place with a personal best score.
The 400 free relay team of Ashlyn Alingh, Clara Kessinger, Kaylan Hart and Kelsey Boettcher finished in 2nd place. Same 4 swimmers finished in 3rd place in the 200 free relay. Ashlyn Alingh finished in 2nd place in the 100 butterfly and 7th in the 50 free both with consideration times for state. Kaylen Hart finished in 3rd place in both the 200 and 500 free.
Kelsey Boettcher finished in 4th place in the 200 free and 5th in the 500 free.
Hailey Williams finished in 4th place in the 500 free and 6th in the 200 free.
