Spectators have a lot of opportunities to rub shoulders with participants in the 16th annual Glass Blown Open the next few days.
Among Friday’s activities is the Swedish bonfire, which will be at the Lyon County Fairgrounds for the first time after several years at the Dynamic Discs warehouse on West Sixth. That activity goes from 7-11 pm, according to tourney organizer Jeremy Rusco on KVOE’s 8:05 am newscast Thursday.
Saturday features the annual block party from 6-11 pm.
The block party includes a Vendor Village, Ring of Fire, putting championships and the awards ceremony.
Rusco also encouraged the community to be part of the galleries at the different disc golf courses in Emporia, Olpe and around Cottonwood Falls.
