The USD 253 board of education tabled the decision to approve the hiring of the next Emporia High Wrestling Coach at Wednesday nights meeting.
After an executive session the board tabled approving the hiring of a new coach when an Emporia resident voiced concern that the candidate, a non teach with no current affiliation to the wrestling program was being considered over a long time Emporia teacher with credentials for the position. The board said they need more information before making a decision.
