The Milwaukee Brewers out scored the Kansas City Royals 5-2 Tuesday night.
Salvador Perez returned to the Royals line-up and hit a home run. Alex Gordon also returned to the line-up and was 2 for 4 with a run scored.
Lorenzo Cain in his first game back at the K after signing with Milwaukee was 2 for 3 with a solo homerun. The Royals and Brewers play again Wednesday night.First pitch is set for 7:10pm. Coverage on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM begins at 6:30p.
To make room for Perez and Gordon, the Royals optioned catcher Cam Gallagher and outfielder Paulo Orlando to Omaha.
The Royals also placed struggling right-handed reliever Justin Grimm on the 10-day disabled list because of lower back stiffness and recalled left-hander Eric Stout from Omaha.
