An open house took place in BETO Junction Monday for Lyon-Coffey Electric Cooperative.
The event included tours of the building, located on 20 acres as well as the warehouse and outlying property. The move happened in January from the company’s former headquarters in Burlington. General Manager Scott Whittington says the building has many unique features including heated floors for its utility trucks.
Part of the move was to put the building in a centralized location for its territory. Whittington says the location is also better for customer service.
The cooperative maintains over 2,500 miles of line and over 7,300 electric meters over nine counties. The new facility is located just south of the truck stop in BETO Junction.
