Central Missouri out scored the Emporia State baseball team 6-5 Sunday.
Mack Gowing drove in 2 runs with a single in the 5th to give Emporia State a 2-0 lead. Central scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to take a 4-2 lead. In the 7th Bryce Fischer drove in 2 runs with a single and Mack Brown doubled in a run to give the Hornets a 5-4 lead. Central would score 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to retake the lead. Central won the series 2 games to 1. Emporia State is now 14-15 in the MIAA and are in 8th place in the MIAA standings. They will host Washburn Wednesday and Northeastern State in a 3 game series beginning Friday.
