The Emporia State rallied for a 5-4 win over Central Missouri in 11 innings Saturday.
Central Missouri scored 2 runs in the 2nd inning. Emporia State scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning on an error, ground out and Kaden Shaffer double. Central Missouri scored 2 runs in the 4th inning to take a 4-3 lead. Emporia States Bryce Fischer hit a solo homerun to tie the game in the 5th inning. The game remain tied until the top of the 11th when Trevor Turner scored on a Tate Kasten double. Emporia State and Central Missouri wrap up the 3 game series Sunday afternoon in Warrensburg, Missouri. The Hornets are now 14-14 in the MIAA and are in 8th place in the MIAA standings.
