The struggles continue for the Emporia State baseball team. They were out scored by Washburn 8-7 Wednesday night.
The game was tied at 5 after 3 innings with both teams scoring 4 runs in the 3rd inning. Washburn scored single runs in the 4th, 6th and 8th innings to take a 8-5 lead. Emporia State scored 2 runs in the 9th but could not get the tying run on base. Emporia State is set to host first place Central Oklahoma in a 3 game series that will now be played Sunday and Monday. The teams will play a single game Sunday and a doubleheader Monday.
