Fort Hays State out scored the Emporia State baseball team Saturday 7-4 to avoid a 3 game sweep.
Fort Hays scored 2 runs in 1st inning. They would take a 3-0 lead in the 2nd inning. Emporia State would tie the game with 3 runs in the 4th. Fort Hays State would answer with a 3 run 5th to take a 6-3 lead. Coach Bob Fornelli said they need to be more consistent.
Emporia State still won the series 2 games to 1. They are scheduled to host Missouri Western Tuesday.
