Making their first ever trip to state tournament the Hartford girls basketball team would finish in 2nd place at the 1A Division II tournament.
Quinter, also playing in their first ever championship game, held on for a 46-44 win over Hartford in Saturdays Championship game. Hartford trailed after the first quarter 14-9. They trailed 24-22 at halftime. Hartford would take a 32-31 lead going into the 4th quarter. The game featured 13 lead changes and 8 ties. Hartfords biggest lead was by 5. Quinters biggest lead was by 12 points. Quinter took the lead for good on 2 freethrows with 22 seconds to play. Hartford had 2 players score in double-figures led by Bailey Darbyshire with 14 points. Morgan Bolen added 13 points. Maisie Schoreder finished with a game high 12 rebounds. Coach Ryan Thomas said the credit for the success of this season also belongs to previous players.
Hartford finishes the season with a 21-5 record.
