The Olpe Lady Eagles outshot Hill City 69-44 en route to a third-place finish at the 2A State Basketball Tournament in Manhattan.
Olpe would open the scoring before a three-pointer would give Hill City a 3-2 lead in the first quarter. Olpe would quickly retake the lead going up by six at the end of the first. Hill City would come as close as 13 but could never catch up as Olpe would win by 25.
Olpe had four players in double digits Neleh Davis had 13 points, Emma Miller had 11, Karly McDougald put up 10 and senior Briana Vogts finished her career as an eagle earning a double-double with 31 points and 10 rebounds.
Olpe Lady Eagles Head Coach Jesse Nelson called the game a character test for his team.
Senior Briana Vogts says she just wanted to represent her school proudly.
Olpe finishes the season 24-1.
