Emporia State mens basketball coach Shaun Vandiver will be returning for a 8th season.
Emporia State Athletic Director Kent Weiser said after reviewing the program he would not be making a change in leadership.
Mr. Weiser said he still believes that Coach Vandiver is the right person to be the head mens basketball coach.
Coach Vandiver said he will be evaluating the program from top to bottom.
Kent Weiser says he does have expectations for the mens basketball team.
The Hornets finished this past season with a 9-19 record and were 4 and 15 in the MIAA. Of the 19 losses 13 were decided by 5 points or less or in overtime. In 7 seasons at Emporia State Coach Vandiver has a record of 87-112.
