This weeks State High School basketball coaches poll is out. The Emporia High girls move up to number 4 in 5A. They are ranked behind Shawnee Heights, Salina Central and Leavenworth. The Lady Spartans will host Manhattan ranked 6th in 6A Friday night.
9 other area teams are ranked. Olpe girls are ranked 3rd in 2A, Waverly girls 4th in 1A Division 1. Council Grove girls are ranked 8th in 3A. On the boys side: Osage City is ranked number 1 in 3A, Olpe 10th in 2A, Marais des Cygnes Valley 9th and Lebo 10th in 1A Division 1. Hartford is ranked 8th in 1A Division 2. And Burlington is ranked 9th in 4A division 2.
