Another close loss for the Emporia High girls soccer team, they were defeated by Topeka West 2-1 Monday.
The Match was scoreless until halfway thru the second half when Topeka West scored the first goal. The Lady Spartans answered with 18:11 to play in the match on a penalty kick by Danya Brewer. Topeka West retook the lead with 9:43 to play. Coach Oscar Macias said they missed some chances in the first half when they were playing with the wind.

The Lady Spartans are back in action this evening when they play at Highland Park.
