The #9 ranked Emporia State football team will put the finishing touches on their game plan for Saturdays NCAA Division II play-off game against #1 ranked Northwest Missouri State Friday. The Hornets will hold a practice today before traveling to Maryville, Missouri for Saturdays game.

This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season. Northwest won the season opener 41-14. Sophomore quarterback Braxton Marstall says they have improved during the season.

Sophomore running back Landon Nault says they need to go make plays.

Junior defensive lineman Donovan Walker says they need to keep playing the way they have been.

Kick-off for the 2nd round contest is set for 1pm. The game will be broadcast on MIX 104.9FM and online at kvoe.com on MIX1049tv.
There are still a few seats remaining for the Alumni Association Fan Bus.
Cost to ride the bus is $55/person or $100/couple and includes the ride to and from the game and a game ticket.
