Number 5 ranked Washburn defeated the Emporia State volleyball team in 3 sets Tuesday night.
Washburn won the matach 25-18, 27-25, 25-20. Emporia State was led by Josie Williams with 11 kills. Carly Spicer added 10 kills. The Lady Hornets are now 4-2 for the season and 0-1 in MIAA play. They play at Missouri Western Friday and Northwest Missouri State Saturday.
