After taking Tuesday off the 4th ranked Emporia State football team returns to the practice field Wednesday morning. If there is a question mark on this years team it might be at linebacker. With the graduation of last years leading tackler Cole Schankie and number 3 leading tackler Josh Monteagudo there are a few holes to fill.
Returning is Senior Gabe Cleveland the 2nd leading tackler in 2016.
Sophomore Logan Thompson also returns.
Senior Remington Whitley is also in the mix.
Junior Manny Cason has moved from a middle linebacker to a nickel back.
Orlando Sheets played in ten games as well. Red-shirt freshmen Jace McDown, Randall Friday, Klayton Goeging and Luke Meyer will be vying for playing time as well.
