The #2 ranked Emporia State women out scored Truman State 89-68 to win their first round game of the Drury Thanksgiving Classic Friday.
It was a back and forth first half with the Lady Hornets leading by 6 and trailing by 4. They led 38-36 at halftime. In the third quarter the Lady Hornets out scored Truman 37-15 to take control. Addie Lackey led Emporia State in scoring with 18 points, Kelly Moten added 17, Kyrstie Miller 14 and Jacee Kramer 11. Saturday the Lady Hornets will play 18th ranked Drury. Tipoff is set for 5:30p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
