The Emporia State softball team was 1-1 on the final day of the 6 State Classic that featured 14 teams.
In their first game Sunday the Lady Hornets defeated #10 ranked Southern Arkansas 4-3. Caitlin VanVleck scored the winning run on an error in the bottom of the 7th.
In their second Sunday, William Jewel out scored the Lady Hornets 6-3. Emporia State was 1-3 for the weekend, but coach April Rosales said there were some positives.
They are off until March 2nd when they host Central Oklahoma in their MIAA opener.
