The Emporia State softball team suffered two losses on the opening day of the 6-State Classic Saturday.
Missouri St. Louis out scored Emporia State 10-7. St. Louis scored 7 runs in the 6th inning after Emporia State had scored 5 runs in the 5th inning.
The Lady Hornets were defeated by Henderson State 6-2. Emporia State was out hit 11-5 and committed 3 errors.
Today Emporia State will play Southern Arkansas at 1pm and William Jewell at 3pm.
