The 40th ranked Emporia State mens tennis team was defeated by 16th ranked Southwest Baptist 7 matches to 2 Saturday.
Emporia State won at number 3 doubles with Taylor Nelson and Janne Jacobi winning 8-5.
Charles Gortzounian won at number 2 singles 6-1, 7-6.
The Emporia State women were not able to field a team and had to forfeit their match with SBU.
