The Emporia High boys tennis team is scheduled open their season Tuesday. They are slated to host a 7 team tournament.
Coach Matt Irby returns 4 players that played in last years regional tournament. He has high expectations for this years team.
The returning players include state qualifier Cameron Kienholz. Payton Harmon, Josh Stuttler and Wyatt Cahoone are the other players who played in the regional tournament last year. Coach Irby says one of the reasons he has high expectations, the players put in a lot of work during the off season.
Tuesdays play is scheduled to begin at 3pm on the Emporia High courts.
