The Emporia High boys tennis team opened the season with a 3rd place finish in the Emporia 7 team invitational Tuesday.
Alex Diaz playing number 3 singles finished in 1st place.
Cameron Kienholz playing number 1 singles finished 3rd. The number 2 doubles team of Payton Harmon and Brian Madrigal, and the number 3 doubles team of Steven Jaimes and Nate Scheller also finished in 3rd place. The number 1 doubles team of Taylor Moorman and Josh Stutler placed 4th. Number 2 singles player Michael Wilson finished in 6th place. Isaiah Pardo playing number 3 singles and number 3 doubles team of Fernado Becerra and Brady Cayton finished in 7th place. Emporia High is scheduled to host a tournament Thursday and Saturday.
