The Emporia State track and field team opened the outdoor portion of their schedule, hosting the Spring Open Friday, with both the Men and Women placing third.
Lati Yeargin won the 100M in a provisional qualifying time of 11.94. The Women’s 4 by 100M Relay team of Yeargin, Jazmin Williams, Hannah Shield, and Malacia Lee finished first with a provisional qualifying time of 46.66. Cole Bosley finished 1st in the Men’s 1500M with a time of 4:06.30. Brandon Rhone won the 400M in 49.10. And the 4 by 400M Relay team of Duke Tibbs, Luke Stenzel, Parker Evans, and Taysean Goodwin won with a time of 3:13.49
