Halloween-themed activities for all ages continued Saturday, with the Trick or Treats in downtown Emporia.

Kids of all ages and costumes roamed along Commercial in search of sweets — and they found a bounty of candy.
Also taking place Saturday, the Emporia Police Department Benefit Association’s first-ever Zombie Run and haunted house. Police Sgt. Kevin Risley, who zombified himself a little less than others, says there were 46 runners in this 5K, marking the start of a cool new event.

Andy Battenfield took first place in the inaugural zombie run. Proceeds will help the Benefit Association’s numerous community partners. Fundraising totals are pending.
